If you want flooring that can
be a conversation piece in itself, all you need to do is figure out creative
ways to mix and match. This can be done in three ways:
1) Using
the same type of material combined randomly.
2) Using
the same type of material combined in a cut and design form.
3) Different
two or three types of materials to combine and form a floor.
One can use many combinations
of materials such as wood with stone, stone with tiles, tiles with wood, plain
tiles with borders, Italian marble with patchwork of tiles, etc.
It is also possible to use two
different textures of materials or two different types of materials, combine
them together and then form a unique floor. Different colours of the same
material can be also used but this must be done in pattern to create unique
flooring.
A monochromatic floor with
gentle variations of shade combined with borders or medallions can create
unique designs for a simpler ambience. Using same type of material combined randomly
is another possibility.
Unique floors can even be
created using basic tiles by positioning them in a way that give it a ‘carpet’
type look. Try placing same type of tile in the centre area of your room and
combining it with a matching border and corner to give a carpet look on your
floor. These can be used in living rooms, passageways, club houses, building
lobbies, dinning area, wardrobe area. This adds beauty and liveliness while
instantly upgrading its property value as well.
A combination of wood, marble
or plain tile with solid colours can be used with mosaic engraved with metals
elements, mirrors, marbles and pebbles. The timeless elegance and durability of
these tiles make them work of arts.
