Some hints :
1. Never hammer mixer machine as it causes buckling which hinders paddle rotation and causes mixer machine overload.
2. Always purchase mixer machine from a reputed manufacturer only who looks after repairs,maintenance jobs etc., (select the mixer machine manufacturer from his past history performance).
3. Its better to keep two mixer machines as one should be kept for operation and one for stand by.
4. Mixer machines have self cleaning capacity.
5. Never over load the mixer machine with more castable powder for mixing as it causes time delay for reaching the required mixing consistency which causes setting or reduction in castable strength or cracking of castables after drying while applied.
6. Before starting mixer machine,check its empty load (amps) by running mixer machine empty without castable.
7. Never insert hand inside mixer machine while running as it hurts.
8. Ball in hand test to be tested by experienced personal only.
9. Use more water mixed castable mortar in narrow passage areas as it flows easily and gets compacted without air gaps.
10. As a safety precaution, provide seperate electrical fuse/relay for socket used for mixer machine.
what can you do if your mixed castable mortar has to wait due to work delay?
Its better to mix castables in smaller portions.But if any work delay, its better to keep the castable mortar inside the mixer machine by running the mixer machine continously to avoid setting of castable.
But never wait more than 15 minutes if taken out of mixer machine.At any cost never use already set castable.
