Pre-tender Planning

The term pre-tender planning covers the activities starting from inviting tenders till the receipt of the same. The pre-tender planning includes the following activities.

·        Finalization of site

·        Acquisition of site

·        Planning of resources

·        Determining time limit of each work

When the construction is to be executed through a contract agency, the exact period during which the project has to be completed, should be decided and made clear before inviting tenders.

The contractor, who wishes to fill in the tender, has consider the following points :

·        Site survey

·        Availability of material

·        Equipments

·        Labour

·        Facilities for camp, fuel etc.

·        Study of drawing, designs and specifications

·        Flow of finance/capital


Post tender Planning

Post-tender planning activities includes the following :

·        Setting up of a camp office and allied matters

·        Labour Welfare amenities

·        Procurement of required material

·        Equipments

·        Planning about safety measures to avoid accidents

·        Follow up of Drawing/Design/Specifications

·        Billing, etc.
