How to calculate quantity of tiles required for flooring?

Area of A

= L x B

= 3 x 2

= 6 m2

Area of B

= L x B

= 6 x 2

= 12 m2

Total Area = Area of A + Area of B

= 6 + 12

= 18 m2

Area of one tile = 600 mm x 600 mm

= 0.6 m x 0.6 m

= 0.36 m2

Therefor.

Number of tiles required = (Total Area / Area of tile)

= 18 / 0.36

= 50 no.

Consider wastage 5 % = 50 + [(5/100) x 50]

= 52.5 say 53 nos.
