Celling plaster thickness = 6 mm

Volume of plaster = Area of celling  x  Thickness of plaster
Volume of plaster = ( 2.20 x 3.00 ) x 6/1000   ……convert mm into meter
Volume of plaster = 6.6 x 0.006
Actual Volume of plaster = 0.0396 m3    (cubic meter)

Considering 25 % more due to losses.
= 0.0396 + [0.0396 x (25/100)]
= 0.0396 + 0.0099
= 0.0495 m3

Therefore volume of plaster is taken = 0.0495 m3

Cement mortar mix proportion (1:4)
Quantity of cement required = vol. Of plaster /mortar mix proportion
