What is Rawmix design ?
Its a process of deciding the mixture of lime, silica, alumina and iron in required proportions, in quality wise and quantity wise, in order to produce cement (clinker) with required physical properties, chemical properties and minerological properties (even fuel impact like coal ash absorption etc., and gypsum also considered while rawmix design).
Physical properties - strength,expansion,colour, finess etc.,
Chemical properties - loss on ignition, chemical composition of cement,contents of alkalies, chlorine, SO3(sulphur tri oxide), MgO (magnesium oxide), insoluble residue etc.,
Mineralogical properties - phases of C3S, C2S, C3A & C4AF
