To protect reinforcement steel from corrosion clean the rusted reinforcement with wire brush; apply rust removing solution Rusticide to all exposed steel. This will remove any residual rust. Allow the Rusticide application for 24 hours and then brush off the loose particles by using a dry paint brush.

Apply a rust preventive coat of Polyalk Fixoprime cement slurry in the proportion of 1:2.5 to 1.5 (by weight) to the chemically derusted steel with soft paint brush.

Apply ‘Polycoat Red-Oxide’ by brush or spray in two or three coats as required, with a minimum interval of 24 hours between successive coats.
