Rate analysis for II class B.B. masonry in C.M. (1:6) using standard brick size 19 cm x 19 cm x 9 cm joint thickness for IInd calls B.B. masonry-10mm.




Therefor, Material required : for 10 cu.m. work

Bricks (15% wastage)

= (1.05 x 10 / 20 x 10 x 10) x 106

= 525 Nos.

Mortar required (wet)

= 10 – 5250 (o.19 x .09 x .09)

= 10 – 8.079 cu.m.

= 1.92 cu.m.

Dry mortar required

= 1.3 x 1.92

= 2.49 say 2.5 cu.m.

Therefor,

Cement required

= (2.5/1+6) x 1

= 0.357 cu.m.

= 0.357 x 30

= 10.7 bags say 11 bags

Sand required

= 0.357 x 6

= 2.142 cu.m.
